First race for 2025. Piloting Jimmy Andrews 37J for the evening, at Path Valley Speedway Park. An extremely ill-handling racecar drove from 6th to 5th in the heat race. After extensive set-up changes, Randy was able to drive from 18th to 11th in the night's feature event.
Again in the 37J for the 30 lap topless event at Path Valley. With high hopes after fixing the previously handling issues, the night was plagued by oil pressure and fuel issues. Very bad timing as there was a stout field of 33 cars. The car barely made it out for time trials after fixing an oil line. After a slow time trial, issues persisted and drove from 9th to 8th in the heat. B main 5th to 4th, failing to qualify for the feature.
Port Royal to kick off Appalachain Mountain Speedweek after Friday nights rainout at Clinton County. Unfortunately some engine issues had the #77 super late behind the 8ball and we were unable to qualify for the A-main of the 41-car field.
Finally the debut of the Kryptonite HR limited at Path Valley. A good pill draw put Randy on the pole for his heat. Won the heat race in good fashion. Bad redraw started him 6th in the feature. Unfortunately, the track was one lane around the bottom. Dropped back to eighth until he was able to get to the inside groove and found his way back to sixth. Overall good night for the cars first time out.
Interesting night at Winchester Speedway for the Spence Memorial. Severe storms caused a rain delay. Time trialed mid pack in a field of 32 Super lates. Started 5th in the heat race and made it to fourth when one competitor had an unfortunate severe accident. This put Randy in the fourth position and would have qualified for the feature event, but a combination of the accident and more rainfall canceled the event to be ran later with new qualifying.
